Born and bred on the border between Cornwall and Devon I had a very rural childhood, always interested in the world around me, and trying to capture it creatively. At 21 I secured an art assignment in Southern Africa for 6 months and stayed for 20 years, loving the wildlife and the culture of Cape Town. Eventually returning to the U.K. a few miles from where I was born, I picked up a brush and started painting in oils, local scenes and african memories.
