At Whitesands Beach, here in Pembrokeshire, there are rocks you don’t normally see in the summer because they’re covered in sand. For just a few days each year the tide takes much of the sand away, leaving deep wavy ridge patterns and exposing the rocks. When the tide washes in the effect is mesmerising.
