Sandra Wadkin

Birmingam born Sandra has been making art from an early age and is fascinated by the ideals surrounding the human condition , diaspora and celebrity. After successfully attending HOW college in Bromsgrove to study art and design she went on to study Fine art and art history at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham.
On entering university Sandra was making photo realistic painting and drawings that became full abstraction by the time she graduated in 2015 . Since leaving University Sandra’s work has been featured in the Aesthetica art magazine art prize exhibition in York .
In November 2022 after much experimentation in her practice Sandra released her “Fractured “ series of paintings. This series of hand painted works influenced by printing techniques cleverly combines her abstract work with the photo realistic portraits she loves to create to make something that’s unique. After being ann independent artist with Eaton Fine art in Solihull Sandra was signed by Creative Fine Art art publishers who have distributed her art amongst independent art galleries . In 2023 Sandra was signed with Opal Fine Art gallery in Stratford upon Avon . Who are now her main source of contact for West Midlands sales . With Wingates gallery in Market Harborough covering Leicestershire and further afield and Room With a View gallery covering West Sussex and the surrounding area . 2024 is set to see more gallery representation in the north of the UK .
