Art has always been part of my life. I remember painting in the kitchen with my mother as a child and when I won a prize in a drawing competition at the National Gallery aged 10 I decided I wanted to be an artist.

Later I studied History of Art at Edinburgh University qualifying with a MA Hons in 1993. Throughout my time at university I attended life drawing classes at Edinburgh College of Art  and undertook regular commisions as an animal portraitist. I went on to have a career in public relations but I continued to pratice and still undertook the occasional commission.

In 2002 I gave up my career to raise my 3 children and more recently completed a 2 year diploma at Putney School of Art. I continue to attend regular 'open studio' sessions at Putney and exhibit at their annual exhibitions.
