Inspired by the sensuous works of Aubrey Beardsley I have created this artwork depicting Salome and her mother whispering a plan to present the severed head of John the Baptist to King Herod after Salome's seductive dance.
The picture is painted using acrylic, glass beads, glitter, gold and copper metallic
effects on an oak veneered wood panel. The outlines are cut into the wood.
