This was the 4th artwork I made as part of my Artist in Residence task for the Bradford Teaching Hospital. I had this idea in my head of a NHS nurse sitting with a patient, it seems unlikely that there would be time, but I hope this happens sometimes. The likeness of the patient is of my mum which was totally accidental, but my mum had spent a lot of time in hospital. I somehow had that image. The birds and unkempt garden are something that feels magical to me and there is another layer of comfort there too.
