Friday 6/10/17 by Tewet Tarn at the top of St. John's Vale. We're not really getting an Indian Summer, but the day was very fine when I sat down at about 11.00 am to start an oil sketch. I had a fine view of Blencathra across the tarn. It was cooler & less sunny by the time I stopped at about 4.00 pm. My perch was beside a well built wall which protected me from the gentle, chilly westerly. I think there are more paintings to be made at this location, but perhaps not this year.
