Painted on a trip to Shetland in 2010. Silwick is a wild & lonely place, reached by braving the terns which guard the clifftop. A hat is essential! A strong breeze made it necessary to position the fisherman's tent a little lower than I wanted, but even then I remember the wind pressing the fabric against the side of my head.
