One of the Islay sea sketches, this beach is near Kintra near Port Ellen. It is in original "on the beach" condition, but I indulged in adding the rich purple of the thistles which grew there in the dune grass, which I couldn't successfully add "wet on wet" at the time without the purple becoming muddy.
