I was perched on the side of Haystacks for this one. Buttermere is the nearer lake, Crummock Water lies beyond, cradled by Melbreak and Rannerdale Knotts. This airy spot is made fairly accessible to the painter by the Honister Slate Mine situated on nearby Fleetwith Pike.
