The Summer of 2003 was showery, I remember, but this could sometimes provide some lively skies. I got wet whilst painting this one, but luckily oil paintings can survive the rain! I seem to return to this view from the Foulsyke gate a little bit as Monet returned to his haystacks or his waterlilies.
