Gannets are seen wheeling over their breeding cliffs at the superb RSPB reserve of Hermaness, Unst. A fine boat is seen heading towards Muckle Flugga, Britain's most northerly rocky outcrop. This marine painting has a simple, wash-painted wooden frame, perhaps reminiscent of drift wood or a weathered beach hut.
