Queen of the Lakes, 7/7/13. I was rummaging through the garage over the weekend & came across this sketch made a few years ago. I was perched on the side of the Dodd, by Skiddaw, looking south. In those days, I would sometimes bite off more than I could chew, so once I had put in the structure of the landscape, I'd almost run out of steam. Anyway, it took only a couple of hours work to make it presentable. I think Derwentwater looks good from here. The bay where folks embark for a ride on the Keswick launch reaches over to the left, so a little further left, the sliver of green is, I'd say, the little dome of grass that is Crow Park!
