As a child I had always wanted to be an artist, but when I left school my first employment was a secretary to an Art Editor and my aim then was to become an illustrator.
However my opportunity to go to Art College to study did not come until my son and daughter were grown up and then I studied illustration at the Cambridge College of Art, now Ruskin Anglia University.
Since I left I have enjoyed illustrating children's books for Hodder and Stoughton, Macmillans, Lyon, Chadwell Publishers, and the Reader's Digest New York.

I also like taking commissions; of people, pets, or landscapes, and have taught in the Adult Education Service before organizing my own workshops locally.
