'Timed Lavender' is a comical play on the unreliable subjectivity of memory, with two vertical lines creating a glitch. The lavender appears as a constant, through which the chickens are passing.
This artwork captures British summertime, though unpredictable, in all its glory. One tentatively following behind, these two chickens are placed at the heart of this composition. Their vibrant surroundings frame this escapade, further drawing our attention to the chickens as the stems are arched toward them. The diagonal pathway emphasises this sense of journey, one fatefully trusting the other to lead. The idyllic quality of this artwork is constituted not just by the chickens' innocent curiosity, but this location, enabling their freedom to move through the space.
