My name is Laurie Sproston, and I live in Hertfordshire, UK.

I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome as a child, and as you may imagine, this has meant that life hasn't been easy for me. However, I found a way to express myself through painting.

I am untrained, and might be described as a "naive" or "primitive" artist, although I prefer to think of my work as "Outsider Art". I generally do work of an imaginative nature, what some might describe as fantasy, but my work is very personal to me, as I channel my Asperger's through my painting, which has become a powerful means of expressing myself.

I have had some success selling my paintings, and I enjoy exploring new techniques to vary my style. I hope you enjoy looking at my art.
