I had taken some photographs of ceramic floor tiles and was looking for a way to use them in an artwork. Some beans that I had collected and dried were also begging to be turned into a painting. I realised that the colours were very simiilar so they ended up together in this piece! I arranged the shapes and colours to provide a strong composition and used various techniques to portray the smooth and rough textures of both the tiles and beans including glazing and scumbling.
