Janet Carson

As a child I spent hours sketching and drawing the things I found around my home up in the wilds of the Cumbrian hills but as life moved on I found I didn’t have the time to paint and draw anymore. I have now been reawakened to the enjoyment of bringing an idea to life and am finding my calling once more.

I am a country girl at heart and have always had a love of the flora and fauna found in and around my home and this is where I take my inspiration from. Animals and birds are what I chose to study the most, but I also find enjoyment in a beautiful landscape or seascape.

I love the vibrancy of a sunny day and my paintings are often more colourful than reality, I love to paint a happy image and hope this comes across in my work.
