I live in the small seaside town of Groomsport in Northern Ireland. For many years photography was my main hobby and I attained an Associateship from the Royal Photography Society in 1989. I lived in Kent, England for over sixty years, where I visited most of the camera clubs in the South of England giving lectures on photographic composition and later on Adobe Photoshop. I have been one of the first users of Photoshop since 1994. In April 2013, I attended a painting workshop in Sussex, run by a Bob Ross accredited tutor Paul Ranson. And I got the bug. Since then I have painted over 250 paintings. While I get a lot of pleasure in painting and looking at my finished work, I get just as much joy in donating my work after a few years to my local charity shop in Millisle, who raise funds for many great causes such as the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance Service.
