This well-known copse of trees near the border between Cornwall and Devon is a popular subject for artists and a welcome sight to those coming or returning to Cornwall. Made up of over 100 trees and called ‘Cookworthly Knapp’ they can be found just off the A30 near Lifton. In this painting I wanted to capture the trees - but from a slightly different angle so you can also admire the countryside surrounding them.
