Another pastiche of a favourite Caravaggio painting.
This painting depicts St. Jerome reading, and possibly in the act of translating the Vulgate. It is believed to have originated from Caravaggio's Roman period which ended with the painter's exile to Malta in 1606.
Oil on Italian linen canvas.
