ABOUT THE ARTISTGillian trained as a graphic designer in the 1950s, then worked for Decca Records including freelancing design. In the ‘60s, she created handmade cards for Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, Heals and other exclusive stores. Her watercolour and pen/wash paintings of London, landscapes and flora were exhibited from the late 1970s in London until the middle of 1990s, Gillian then explored and develop her art, moving to East London and setting up her studio at Trinity Buoy Wharf E14.Her new work exploded into large colour filled contemporary canvases strongly documenting Docklands and London. Murals and paintings have been commissioned by Tower Hamlets, Corporate Lawyers, Canary Wharf, NHS etc. New Greenwich iPad Postcards and cards are available, plus new flower paintings.
