I am mostly a self taught artist. My father was an amateur artist and watching him was my inspiration from a very early age. I studied a BA in Fine Art formally at Farnham Art College and then completed a diploma in art from the online London College which I passed with Merit. I have also trained in art and design for textiles.
My main interests are in painting botanical or floral paintings, landscapes and seascapes. Living in beautiful Pembrokeshire, in the Preseli mountains there is plenty of inspiration. Please contact me if you would like to purchase any of my work at Gill.farrington13@hotmail.co.uk or via this site.
My studio is in our rather wild garden and is totally overcrowded with my art and craft. I usually have to share this space with one or more of my four cats.
I have recently fallen in love with alcohol inks and am fascinated by the patterns they create. I also use them on ceramics and other materials as well as creating interesting artwork.
In the past my artwork has featured in galleries in Narberth, and with Fishguard Art Society exhibitions, where I am a member, and I have had two major solo exhibitions in the galleries at Picton Castle
