This is a self-portrait collection. A journey that has enabled me to express myself away from my normal photo-realism style. I painted in heavy rain with an enthusiasm, passion and anger that has become quite addictive in my work. A life story of murder, addiction and survival.
The red block you see is my safety box, the more I let go the bigger it gets, it reminds me that I am still in control. The collection expresses different emotions, the places grief and recovery can take you.
My imprint, my figure, my skin, it is a mere mask. For the first time exposed.
