I've enjoyed drawing and painting ever since my early teens when I was taught by my father, who was a professional artist. I paint mostly in oils as I like the qualities and richness of the medium, and my favourite subjects are landscapes and still lifes. I paint and sketch outdoors whenever and wherever I can, and use those resources for my studio-based work to capture the changing conditions and qualities of light in the landscape.
