Art is my escape, my panacea. I am inspired by the magical, mystical influences of living in Cornwall.
Cornwall is so much more than fishing boats and seascapes. There is a rich source of history and characters in its towns and villages.
I am inspired by many things. My aim is to tell a story with my art or to make the viewer think of that scene or image as an illustration of a time or of an event.
I like my art to have meaning or symbolism.
I want to convey a different perspective on what may seem like an ordinary place, scene or object.
I love nature and tend to over emphasise colours and shapes as that is how my eye tends to translate to my mind.
My love of nature and history provides me with endless material for my fantasy world, where everything has a story and nothing is dull.
