This is a portrait of a Sailfin Dragon that resides at my local Bioparc Zoo.
I wanted to challenge myself with something different than my usual subjects which have fur. The scales were a big challenge but I got there in the end and I am proud to say that this piece was a finalist in The David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year 2022
