oil on panel. This painting is of a place in Scotland that I have returned to many times, always finding something new to be inspired by. It is in fact a boggy place and the grasses growing at the edge of the path are extremely tall some with feathery fronds. It is not a maintained garden so has a wild beauty of its own making. It is also a haven for many kinds of wildlife. Many years ago one could walk along the track and through the trees [as in the painting] and then up onto a terrace to go into the main garden above. Nowadays it has returned to nature somewhat.
The painting is sold framed using a whitewashed wood frame to complement the vibrancy of the colours in the painting.
