Oil painting of Sylvia, a smoking woman from Havana, Cuba. This artwrk is inspired by a photograph taken by Paul Choy.
Story behind the picture:
"The photograph was captured by the side of the road near the Plaza de Armas in Havana. Sylvia was sitting chatting with a small group of friends around dusk. This is quite common in Cuba, people coming out onto the streets in the late afternoon to socialise with friends. She was very shy, but I really like the hint of attitude in her eyes."
