Deep muddy tyre ruts are filled with water which reflects the early autumn blue sky. The deep yellow leaves of the distant trees contrast with the cool greens of the field. Emphasis on the odd colours and the various textures of the leaves and twigs, trapped in the muddy foreground, gradually receding to a softer background.
