A heavily shadowed path, fronted by an ancient stoop, descends past the Autumn-tinged mountain called Great Stickle, in Cumbria. The strong midday light, intensifying the colours and modelling the shapes, lends an almost Daliesque feel to the scene. Acrylic on canvas board within a white frame.
