This has been perhaps my most ambitious drawing to date! With 6 subjects and lots of details, it was difficult to get started, to get past the layout and onto to the detail. Aside from the fact that I have concentrated on dogs for the past year or so, and now had human faces to draw, there was lots to consider. Mainly that there were a lot of different textures to show, and while the whole drawing is quite large at 15”x19” unmounted, there is a lot of small and fine work to put in. Luckily, I love getting all the tiny details into a drawing, and so while extremely challenging, it was really fun to draw.
