Inspiration for this painting was the stunning sight of a long carpet of flowers en route to driving my son to his Summer job.
I filled my mobile phone to capacity on the way back, and returned early - this time properly equipped with a camera - to get as many reference photos as possible! I loved the combination of the red poppies, blue cornflowers and the yellow daisy-like flowers in this particular run of flowers
