Andrea Meakin

 I'm at my happiest when I'm in my studio surrounded by canvas's,pots of paint and brushes. I studied Spacial design at The Kent Institute of Art and Design, after 2 years I decided it wasn't for me so left college and began a career in travel, working on cruise ships and aeroplanes which took me around the world several times!
I'm now a full time mum and part time artist working from my designated garden studio in rural Hampshire known as The Doodle Den. I paint detailed pet portraits and wildlife in oils and have recently discovered that I love painting seascapes.
Im a member of Southern Nature Art and exhibited with them for the first time last year and won two awards! I'm looking forward to this years exhibition over the August bank holiday weekend and I am also exhibiting with appArt over the Easter holidays in Godalming Surrey and have been invited to the Art and Soul exhibition in Haselmere June 1st -23rd....so Im busy in my studio preparing for exhibitions and have some exciting commissions on the horizon, 2024 is looking rather busy!
