Amelia Webster’s portraits are explored in a contemporary realism style but are not just a study of paint, they are an exploration of the ‘everyday’ person and their story.
Amelia Studied (BA Hons) Painting drawing and printmaking at Plymouth College of Art graduating in 2017. Amelia then went on to study a foundation in Art therapy, completing in 2018. Amelia has been based at a studio at Seale Hayne, Newton Abbot, since 2015 and moved to her studio at pottery court in August 2020.
Amelia has been involved in many exhibitions, both locally and in London. Most notably, Amelia competed and featured in Sky arts portrait artist of the year 2019, exhibited in the Ruth Borchard self portrait exhibition 2019 and taken part in the #portraitsfornhsheros initiative, culminating in an online exhibition and book release.
Amelia’s studio is open to the public to visit and look around as well as see the latest painting come to life. The studio will also be used for portrait demonstrations and workshops as well as exhibitions. Amelia has a number of prints available to purchase and handmade books for sale.
