This is a small acrylic on box canvas painting of Helston, Cornwall's famous Blue Anchor Inn. It is one of the oldest breweries in the UK and it produces Spingo ale, a must try for anyone visiting the area! In this painting, the pub is dressed ready for Flora Day, an ancient annual celebration on May 8th where the bulidings of Helston are decorated with greenery and spring flowers, and the towns people dance through the streets.
