This is one of many pieces inspired by the beautiful Scottish landscape. This one is painted from a photograph I pulled over to take by the roadside in East Lothian - one of those moments where you find beauty in something very ordinary - wild poppies in the kerbside hedgerow.
This painting is predominantly in oils, but with accents in ink and goldleaf.
