Graphite on paper. Part of a body of work in my own collection. Currently this and other images of this girl can be found on my artistmiddlesbrough.com site. This particular loose, scribbly pencil approach is a method I developed as a young student. It's an unpretentious drawing style, creating a relaxed, spontaneous mode of working. Once I realized I was naturally doing this without trying to force an effect, I practiced and exploited it more and more.
