My coffee pot catches the light beautifully and always looks as though it's in monochrome. I love black & white. I use still life as an exercise in fine painting technique but primarily in observing. My preoccupation as ever is light, in particular dramatic light and reflections. Simple objects can be shown to be beautiful in this way.
