I am an admirer of the work of artist Kit Williams. This is a self portrait that I tried to create in his style, loosely based on his painting entitled 'Advancing Ripe Harvest' from the book 'Out Of One Eye.' It gave me the opportunity to revel in capturing botanical details of autumnal foliage together with the less familiar subject of self-portraiture. Oddly my thorny bower perfectly captures my somewhat insular character! You can look but not touch!
