Naturally creative I studied at Art College before working in graphics & illustration. I now work predominantly in pencil, watercolour & acrylics. My art draws from nature but also uses music, emotions & my surroundings. I also enjoy the technical demands of botanical & natural history painting. My large watercolour floral paintings delve into the relationship between plants and the environment & atmosphere surrounding them. Nature combines with mood and imagination resulting in artworks with depth and emotion. My abstract paintings connect painting with music, memories & strong emotions creating unusual dramatic and evocative paintings. These paintings surprise & delight me as they develop. It's like I’m letting the painting paint itself. A very powerful feeling that totally absorbs me.
