Leila’s love of paint and colour defines her style, with expressive brushwork and vibrant colour. She looks for the beauty in life and wants to capture it to calm and captivate - and spark joy.
Leila loves travelling for new landscapes and colours, but is equally captivated by the season-changing landscape in Britain.
Leila first studied English and History of Art (Joint BA) at the University of Nottingham. After graduating from there, she worked in publishing at the Condé Nast magazines, working with images. At 26, unable to imagine a future without painting, she returned to art at Chelsea College of Art (University of the Arts London), where she gained her BFA. She then won an award to go on to study her MFA at the prestigious Slade School of Fine Art.
Leila lives in London/ Surrey with her husband, three children and dog Alfie.
