For Angela, painting, and art has been a passion since taking special classes in her early years at school in Lithuania. Yet, it was only after moving to London, raising her children, and setting up a family business, that the time to dedicate to painting became available.

After some further studies and experiments, Angela chose to work with oil on canvas and wooden MDF boards. Her works are in a traditional realistic style (no photo realism). She uses high-quality oil paint from Holland to keep the traditional technique, which avoids chemicals and diluents.

For still life, Angela selects objects and drapes and arranges them all as décor on a theatre stage. These are intertwined with the play of light and a musical rhythm and harmony that are specific to each painting. Here, the inspiration has been Mahler's symphony together and Bach’s cantatas have been an inspiration.
The stillness reflects a silent internal dialogue, memories, and personal observations that are open to the viewers to explore. Angela’s love of classical music, opera, literature, and the poetry of the 19th century influenced her work in one way or another.
