St Ives in Cornwall is full of quirky lanes, or opes as they are called in Cornwall. These opes are full of character and are often a bit mysterious as you wonder what is round the corner and what has happened there through the years. I hope I've managed to capture some of this atmosphere and the beautiful St Ive's light in this small acrylic painting on box canvas.
